Really, Ali?? I think the gold wheels look atrocious on the red car : P Me either, Ali, it's been a long time coming. 3 years and 1 week so far. The colour is about 95% of what I wanted, but the closest I managed to find in a factory colour. I didn't want to go custom due to the issues you can have if you ever need a touch up or repair done. Got a call from the painter this morning saying it's all done and ready to pick up. Hopefully get it collected this week and begin the massive re-assembly process. Just looking for a black interior now to finish off the project to perfection. |

Really? You don't like'em? Personally I think they compliment the car.....not sure how it'd look post completion, but from here it looks half decent I suppose we'll just have to wait for the end result....ooooh this is soo exciting lol |

Can't say I'm a fan of the gold mags, but it's not that bad. Only time I think Gold mags really work is with a black car , like the old JPS BMW touring cars. Also I think they would have to be a mesh style wheel , not 5 spoke. Paint looks awesome though , good stuff. |

Ummm Lew , i count 7-spokes. Vin what colour is what ??? Vin depends on the 5-spokes too , modern drift style rims or slim spokes look good , but the standard Toyota rims just look dated to me, and the gold , mehhh take it or leave it. Gold rims only work with certain colour cars. there's lots of different grades of gold too. I think the dull gold , is what turning me off , and the standard rims thats all. each to their own. |

Whoa I typed a smiley face and the emoticon with the finger came up! Sorry about that Paul, was meant to be a simple smiley face -> : ) I'm not sure what you mean by "drift style" 5 spokes but I've seen plenty of black and white cars with gold rims that looked quite nice. Anyway, I was meant to ask Dan what the colour of his car was, not you. Then realised he mentioned it in an earlier post so ignore me! Looks like you'll be having lots of fun there Dan |

The list of stuff I can't find is getting pretty bloody long, we'll get there eventually.
Mostly test fitting at this stage, as there are bits I can't find to put it all on. |

All okay Dan! I'll be up your way within a few days and Lew, Paul D and I will slip around and whip that beast back into shape in no time at all. Cost? Carton of JD stubbies mate and a bottle of Gentleman Jack just for me for coming so far to assist. Perhaps we could drag Paul and Bettina over from Toowoomba to help as well. What say ye? |

Sounds good to me. The biggest issue is the bits I can't find, but we can just consume afformentioned beverages if it all gets too hard. |
