Congratulations Dan!
A very impressive accomplishment.
Looks gorgeous.

The pic above with the four stars, did you chop the reflection in the car (because I can't see a line which is in the foreground concrete nor the light source)? I see chopping as just another tool, all be it an awesome one, wondering if you are burning he midnight oil mastering that too. Fabulous lighting...

Thanks Di.

That one was light painted, about 10-12 exposures each with different parts of the car/background lit and then layered/masked together in PS.

The line in the FG is there, but it's right on the curve of the bumper so doesn't show.

Yes I wondered if the horizontal line was too low to see.

Pretty sophisticated lighting technique you appear to have mastered there!

Don't know why I even wondered if you have been busy learning to exploit ps.

18 months down the track. All sorts of things have been going on. I've opened a proper photo studio, had some old fart reverse into the car, and had it repaired, I've moved and now looking at moving again.

Changed the wheels on the car, to original Work Eurolines, to make room for UCF21 4 pot brakes (which I still haven't fitted.

Otherwise all is well in the world.

Busy. Moving is the pits, why a second time?

Good to see you are looking after my next car.

Tell us more about the studio, size, location, what type of work you are kitted for. If I had ever set one up it would have been for still advertising, with bank lights etc. Is it paying the overheads yet? Exciting times.

Hi Di,

Just running through ideas and options at the moment, so the next move is definitely a potential maybe.

Yep, the old barge is being well looked after. it's just clocked over 125,000 k's.

The studio is not kitted up for anything specifically, more of a versatile space that can be used for many things. I do a lot of portraits, as well as product and advertising work. Not paying for itself yet, though, which is getting to be a drag.
